These places at disease one attacked by the fungal infection, which is also professionally called tinea, or epidermophytia or trichophytia. Mycosis is very widespread infectious disease, unfortunately it affects up to 30% of the adult population. With people in age over 70 years the occurrence is even higher than 80%.
Mycosis can be treated by several ways. First of them is the local therapy. Bath in anti-fungal solutions, various creams or varnishes will help you, which you can freely get in a pharmacy without the prescription.

The disadvantage is the need to monitor of liver function tests, whereas long-term use of drugs can have adverse effect to the liver. Patient on this treatment must not drink alcohol at all.
Also, because of the lack of local and pill therapy a new laser treatment developed. The principle of this treatment is to agglomerate of fungal fibre in the affected nail disc (coagulation of fungal fibres). Laser combines the advantages of local and pill treatment and has almost no disadvantages.
For each, the selection of the type of treatment we consider the condition of each patient individually. It depends not only what the extent of the disease is, but also what affiliated diseases patient has and how cures them, or if he does not have renal or liver disability. It depends of course on age, pain threshold and at women pregnancy is critical for example.
